Chopped Steaks with Mushroom & Onion Gravy
Classic Chopped Steaks the whole family will love- Ground Beef seasoned with herbs and smothered in an onion gravy!

Ingredients

  • (1 lb) Ground Beef
  • (1) Egg
  • (1/2 cup) Bread Crumbs
  • (1 tbsp) Worcestershire sauce
  • (1 tsp) Dried Dill Weed
  • (1/2 cup) Granulated Onion
  • (1/2 cup) Granulated Garlic
  • (1/2 tsp) Salt
  • (1/2 tsp) Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • (1 tsp) Vegetable Oil
  • (1) Small Yellow Onion, thinly sliced
  • (8oz) Sliced Mushrooms
  • (2 tbsp) Flour
  • (2 cups) Beef Broth
  • (2 cups) Beef Broth

Directions

  1. Combine Ground Beef with egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, dill weed, granulated onion, granulated garlic, salt and pepper in a medium bowl, mixing lightly but thoroughly. 
  2. Lightly shape beef mixture into four 1/2-inch-thick patties. 
  3. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. 
  4. Place patties in skillet; cook 5 to 6 minutes per side. 
  5. Remove patties from skillet; set aside and keep warm.
  6. Add sliced onion and mushroom to skillet; cook and stir 4 to 5 minutes. 
  7. Reduce heat to low; sprinkle flour over onion mixture. Cook 2 minutes or until lightly browned. 
  8. Add beef broth.
  9. Return patties to skillet; continue cooking until sauce has thickened and reduced slightly. 
  10. Serve patties with gravy.
